Sun Moon Rising

Welcome to astrology, where your month of birth does not actually mean anything and there is no such thing as being a “cusp” baby.
You are not a “half-Pisces", “half-Aquarius” because your birth-date happens to falls in the middle of the two months— you are specifically either a Pisces sun or an Aquarius sun. Your birth time solidifies this.

Here’s a little cheat sheet into the world of astrology:

  1. Sun = This is your overall personality. It is how you act, for the most part, but it does not encompass every little detail about you. Think of this as a building block, or the bare bones of your body.

  2. Moon = This is how you process your emotions. From how you emotionally self-regulate to what causes you to make decisions. In other words, this is the real you. It is also a part you tend to keep hidden from the world, that is, unless the person is close to you.

  3. Rising = This is the pop culture word for Ascendant (ASC). Your ascendant or rising sign is the coordinate in which you were born, and if you were to draw a line upwards… this is the zodiac sign it touches in the sky. Your rising sign is how people view you, how you subconsciously carry yourself and it also affects your literal physical appearance. e.g. Look up Capricorn Risings vs Libra Risings and you’ll see a similarity in their face shapes.

Commonly in astrology, we always want to know someone’s Sun, Moon, Rising because it gives us a more in-depth idea of who a person is, by how they portray themselves, how they’re stereotyped and how they typically make decisions.

I like to go on astro-charts.com to look at free charts, but if you’re curious and would like a little bit of a read on what you are I recommend inputting your info here to find your Sun, Moon & Rising sign.
